On behalf of the MBA Board of Directors, It is with great honor that I announce the rededication of the Massena Basketball Association's Sportsmanship Award as the Edward L. Hubert Sportsmanship Award. 

This award is being renamed after Ed to honor his service to our program and recognize the commitment he has had to the youth of our community over the years. 

This award was started in 1996 under Ed's leadership of the MBA (at that time was only the booster club).  It is awarded annually to a varsity girl and a varsity boy basketball player. 

When you think of Ed Hubert, you think of the very virtues that define sportsmanship. Honor, Values, Respect, Dignity and Fairness. 

There is no greater person whose name we could attach to this award.
